The Desert Trip

Hi guys,
My mom and I decided to go camping over Spring Break. I especially wanted to go for taking pictures, so here are some of my best ones. Hope you enjoy!

Finally, on the way home to SLC, we drove through Capitol Reef. The petroglyphs were very far away, and it was the first time I got to use my special zoom lense. The second photograph is not crooked, although it may look so. The rock is going into the ground with a slant.

Just some of the views along the Scenic By Route....
This is by Lake Powell

A lovely pool and waterfall- Hog Springs. It is only a mile hike out of the Hog Springs
Rest area... I would like to go there when it's 100 degrees outside, we would get
to swim.

These are some of the interesting formations we found when we hiked
Leprechaun Canyon, just 100 miles north of Natural Bridges

The first one is the Horse Shoe Ruin.... I assume it's called that because of the horseshoe-shaped windows. I believe it was a baking house.

This cresent-shaped sand feature was not an opportunity I could pass up on taking a picture.
It was in the river that goes through White Canyon.....

On our hike in Natural Bridges National Monument, I noticed this patteren in the sand and
reflection of the rock on the water.... Turned out to be a pretty good shot!

We stopped at the Mill Creek Cemetary along highway 9....... It was quite interesting, there was no organized way the graves were arranged, just random.
